SAVE THE METRODOME?

The recent news that Vikings owner Zygi Wilf will be with Minneapolis Mayor RT Rybak meeting about possible downtown development is intriguing. Here's to hoping that they come to their senses and realize that site of downtown Minneapolis, or somewhere very near downtown could be the ideal location for a state of the art NFL stadium!

Personally, I will go wherever the team builds it's new stadium, but I will always be fond of the Vikings events that took place in the "Humpty Dump."

Here are a few of my most memorable eyewitness moments at the Dome:

No matter what happens to Dome, I for sure want to buy some of it's seats to have in my own sports bar at home. The place has served as my escape from reality on so many occasions that it is truly a part of me, and will always be a Minnesota icon.

Fantasy Football Time 2006- Stripper Finds Her Pants... Rapid Park it IS!

For Vikingstailgate.com regulars, the Fantasy Football league has been set up on Yahoo.com! Draft will be set to autopick on Aug. 31st. There are only 14 teams, and the first 14 to show up and sign up are in... Same Rules as last year.

In order to join the league, check your e-mail to see if mook has sent you an invite. If not e-mail him and the ID# and password.

I think Kansas Vike is the Defending Champ? Please correct me if I am wrong.
Since I sucked last year, I will be taking the first pick (maybe?) Anyway, the league is free, and if you want to have bragging rights in the tailgate lot, sign up now.

Also, We are going to be heading to Rapid Park this season for tailgating. (See Vikingstailgate.com for further details, right now there is a map posted in the upper right part of the screen).
